In the first half of 2024, Harry Reid Airport saw a significant increase in international passengers, totaling 1.9 million, up by 20.4% from the same period in 2023. The airport is set to introduce new international options to cater to this growing demand. Aer Lingus will launch direct flights from Dublin, Ireland, to Las Vegas starting on Oct. 25. This new route aims to attract more visitors from Ireland and other parts of Europe, providing a seamless travel experience for passengers. Meanwhile, Norse Atlantic will commence service from London’s Gatwick Airport on Sept. 12. Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris, which reported a notable 11.5% increase in passengers in June compared to the previous year, will initiate service from Tijuana on Oct. 29. The expansion of service options in Tijuana, including connections to 40 other Mexican cities, will facilitate travel for residents in central and noncoastal areas of the country. Furthermore, Virgin Atlantic has seen a 14.9% growth in the first six months of 2024, reinstating nonstop flights from Manchester, England, in May.
