Exploring Margaritaville at Sea with Savannah Buffett

Savannah Buffett, the daughter of the late singer and songwriter Jimmy Buffett, has been named the godmother of the Margaritaville at Sea Islander. This announcement comes as the former Costa Atlantica undergoes a refurbishment in preparation for its inaugural Margaritaville voyage from Tampa on June 14. The Islander will be the second ship in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet, following the debut of the Paradise two years ago.

Growing up, Savannah spent much of her childhood traveling alongside her father on seaplanes, sailboats, and tour buses. This unique upbringing undoubtedly influenced her career path, leading her to serve as a creative and musical consultant for various projects. Savannah has also hosted her own radio show on SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville, showcasing her passion for music and entertainment.

In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Savannah has co-authored two children’s books with her father: “Jolly Mon” and “Trouble Dolls.” This collaboration showcases their shared creativity and love for storytelling. Through these books, Savannah and Jimmy have brought joy and imagination to young readers around the world.

The 2,650-passenger Islander will offer cruises of four to seven nights from Tampa, with stops in Key West, Cozumel, and Progreso. Guests aboard the ship can indulge in a variety of dining options, including Frank and Lola’s Pizzeria, Cheeseburger in Paradise, the three-story LandShark Bar, and the Mexican Cutie Cantina. Additionally, passengers can partake in activities such as Paradise Pickleball at Sea, Margaritaville-inspired cornhole and mini-golf, and the Caribbean Amphibian Play Pad and Slide.

Margaritaville at Sea has gone above and beyond to enhance the guest experience, redesigning all 1,105 staterooms with new furnishings and styling inspired by the sand, sea, and sky. This attention to detail ensures that every aspect of the Islander embodies the carefree and relaxed vibe synonymous with the Margaritaville brand.

Savannah Buffett’s role as the godmother of the Margaritaville at Sea Islander signifies a deep connection to her father’s legacy and a commitment to carrying on the spirit of adventure and creativity. As guests set sail on this new addition to the Margaritaville at Sea fleet, they can look forward to an unforgettable experience filled with music, sunshine, and endless fun.
