The Project Blue series, which debuted last summer with the American Eagle, has been a successful addition to the American Cruise Lines fleet. These 100-passenger Coastal Cats are specially designed for sailing coastal waters and inland waterways. Following the American Eagle, the American Glory was introduced last November, with two additional Coastal Cats – American Liberty and American Legend – slated to enter service later this year.
In 2025, a new class of Project Blue ships called the Patriot class will make its debut. These ships will be larger than the Coastal Cats, accommodating 125 passengers each. The first two ships in this class will be known as American Patriot and American Pioneer.
