Cruise Line Crystal to Build Two Luxury Vessels with Fincantieri

Crystal, a renowned cruise line, has recently announced a memorandum of agreement with shipbuilder Fincantieri to construct two luxurious vessels. The first ship is set to be delivered in spring 2028, with details about the second ship’s timeline yet to be revealed. In addition to these two ships, Crystal has also secured an option to build a third vessel, scheduled for delivery in 2032.

The new ships will boast accommodations that consist solely of suites with private verandas, offering passengers a premium experience. Crystal has enlisted the expertise of architectural firms Studio Ibsen and Studio Gem to lead the design efforts, ensuring a blend of exquisite craftsmanship and innovative aesthetics. The interior design will showcase precious marbles, Italian fabrics, and natural materials, creating an ambiance of sophistication reminiscent of high-end residential properties.

With a gross tonnage of 61,800, the ships will include a promenade that extends along the perimeter, a design element inspired by the layout of Crystal’s existing vessels – the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. Moreover, the new ships will introduce exciting dining options such as the renowned Nobu restaurant Umi Uma and the exclusive Beefbar steakhouse. Crystal will be launching the first Beefbar at sea, promising guests a unique culinary experience during their voyage.

As Crystal forges ahead with its plans to expand its fleet, the partnership with Fincantieri signifies a significant milestone in the cruise line’s journey towards providing unparalleled luxury at sea. With a commitment to exceptional design and top-tier amenities, Crystal’s new vessels are poised to redefine the cruise industry standard, offering passengers a truly indulgent experience. Stay tuned for more updates on Crystal’s upcoming projects and developments as they continue to elevate the world of luxury cruising.
