Explore the Exciting World of Blueberries with USHBC’s Sweepstakes

Are you a fan of blueberries? If so, you’re in luck! The US Highbush Blueberry Council (USHBC) is celebrating National Blueberry Month in style with two exciting contests that are sure to delight blueberry lovers everywhere. One of the contests, The Great American Blueberry Eating Championship, is a unique event that will take place on Saturday, July 13th. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their love for blueberries while competing against each other to see who can eat the most in just eight minutes.

The Great American Blueberry Eating Championship will be held during the mid-season pickleball tournament in Grand Rapids, MI. Participants will have the chance to win a grand prize of $4,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place, and additional cash prizes for third, fourth, and fifth place winners. In addition to the monetary rewards, winners will also have the glory of being crowned the blueberry eating champion. With no record set yet for the most blueberries eaten in a contest, this is an exciting opportunity for competitive eaters to make history.

Participants must be 18 years or older to enter the contest online. By signing a waiver and showcasing their blueberry-eating skills, contestants will have a chance to take home a generous cash prize and the title of blueberry eating champion. With the current record standing at 9.17 lbs of blueberry pie eaten in eight minutes, contestants will need to be prepared to ingest over 1000 blueberries for a shot at winning.

The Great American Blueberry Eating Championship is just one of the many competitions hosted by Major League Eating (MLE). Other exciting events this summer include The Great Midwest Rib Fest World Rib-Eating Championship and The 2024 World Slopper Eating Championship. Whether you’re a seasoned competitive eater or just looking to have some fun, these events offer a unique and entertaining experience for all participants.

If you can’t make it to the blueberry eating competition, don’t worry! You can still participate in the online contest for a chance to win $10,000. All you need to do is post a social media video of yourself eating fresh blueberries in a creative way, tag @blueberries, and use #blueberrychallenge during National Blueberry Month. This is a great opportunity to show off your love for blueberries and potentially win a significant cash prize.

For those looking for inspiration for their blueberry content, USHBC’s Instagram page and website offer a wealth of recipes and ideas. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or just starting out in the kitchen, there are plenty of ways to incorporate blueberries into your dishes and showcase your creativity. National Blueberry Month is the perfect time to explore new recipes and share your love of blueberries with the world.
