Alaska Airlines Expands Winter Seasonal Routes to Vail and Beyond

Alaska Airlines is set to expand its winter seasonal route network by introducing flights to the famous Colorado skiing destination of Vail. The airline will operate three-times weekly flights from both Seattle and San Diego to Vail between December 20 and March 16. These flights will be serviced by an Embraer E175 regional jet, offering both first-class and coach cabins for passengers. Alaska Airlines will be the exclusive carrier serving Vail from Seattle and San Diego, according to Cirium flight schedule data.

Additional Winter Seasonal Routes

In addition to the new routes to Vail, Alaska Airlines has announced a total of 18 new services to various sun and ski destinations for the upcoming winter season. While most of these routes are seasonal, there will be one year-round service between Boise, Idaho, and Orange County Airport starting on December 19. Among the other winter seasonal routes introduced are daily flights connecting Fresno, California, with Guadalajara, Mexico, as well as San Diego with Reno, Nevada. Travelers can also expect new routes from Sacramento, California, to Tucson, Arizona, and from Los Angeles to Kelowna, British Columbia, which offers access to nearby ski resorts.

Expanded Warm-Weather Destinations

Alaska Airlines is not just focusing on winter destinations, as the airline has also announced less-than-daily offerings to warm-weather locations. Weekly flights to Liberia, Costa Rica, will be available from Seattle and San Francisco. Additionally, the carrier will provide new service to popular vacation spots such as Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Cancun, and Orlando from various U.S. cities. Travelers can look forward to increased connectivity and more options for their winter getaways with Alaska Airlines.

As Alaska Airlines continues to expand its route network, passengers can expect greater access to both winter and warm-weather destinations. With the introduction of routes to Vail and other popular locations, the airline is providing more choices for travelers looking to escape the cold or enjoy some fun in the sun. Whether you’re a ski enthusiast or a beach lover, Alaska Airlines has something for everyone with its diverse selection of winter seasonal routes.
