American Cruise Lines to Introduce New Patriot Class Ships in 2025

American Cruise Lines recently announced the arrival of their fifth and sixth Project Blue coastal ships in 2025, marking the introduction of the Patriot class. These 125-passenger sister ships will be named American Patriot and American Pioneer, with American Patriot set to arrive in June 2025, followed by American Pioneer in November 2025.

The “hallmark” of the Patriot class ships will be their expansive staterooms, ranging from 300 square feet to 620 square feet, each featuring a private balcony. With five decks and 56 staterooms, the American Patriot and American Pioneer will offer spacious lounges for guests to unwind and socialize after a day of exploration along the East Coast’s charming ports of call.

Amenities on Board

The new ships will feature a main lounge and restaurant on the first deck, providing water views from every seat. The fifth deck will offer sitting, dining, and fitness areas, including the Skywalk walking track, an indoor Sky Lounge, outside sun deck, and casual café. Additionally, the third deck will house a Bow Terrace and Horizon Lounge, with an indoor fitness center on the fourth deck.

The Patriot-class ships will accommodate more passengers than the Coastal Cats, the first four Project Blue vessels. The American Eagle and American Glory debuted in 2023, with the American Liberty and American Legend entering service this year. Like the Coastal Cats, the Patriot-class ships will be built at ACL’s affiliated shipyard, Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Maryland.

Both American Patriot and American Pioneer will sail itineraries up and down the U.S. East Coast, including 15-day cruises of the Florida coast and Keys starting in 2025. This longer Florida itinerary follows the recent launch of Coastal Cat sailings cruising the Florida Gulf Coast and the Keys.

American Cruise Lines’ new Patriot class ships are set to revolutionize coastal cruising with their spacious staterooms, luxurious amenities, and unforgettable experiences along the East Coast. With the addition of American Patriot and American Pioneer in 2025, passengers can look forward to a new level of comfort and style on their coastal voyages.
