Discount Carrier Avelo Expands Service to Include International Routes

Discount carrier Avelo is gearing up to expand its operations beyond domestic routes to include international service starting this November. The airline is set to launch its international service from Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, adding 18 twice-weekly routes to its offerings. This expansion is facilitated by the addition of two Boeing 737NG aircraft to Avelo’s fleet, marking a significant milestone for the carrier.

Avelo’s first international routes from Bradley International Airport will include destinations such as Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Cancun. These new routes are set to commence in mid-November, marking Avelo’s foray into international markets from its Northeast base in New Haven, Connecticut. The addition of these international routes demonstrates Avelo’s commitment to expanding its service offerings and catering to the needs of travelers seeking affordable and convenient travel options.

In addition to its international expansion, Avelo is also set to bolster its domestic routes from Bradley International Airport. The carrier will introduce seven new routes from Bradley, connecting travelers to popular destinations such as Daytona Beach, Houston Hobby, Wilmington, Concord, and Lakeland. These new routes will complement the existing 26 airports already served by Avelo from its primary base in New Haven.

Furthermore, Avelo is set to enhance its presence in central Florida by introducing new routes from Lakeland to six other airports. These airports include Atlanta, San Juan, Rochester, Wilmington, Manchester, and Concord. With these additions, Avelo aims to provide travelers with more options for convenient and affordable travel within the region. The carrier will also continue to operate existing routes from Lakeland to New Haven, as well as six routes from Orlando International Airport.

As part of its expansion plans for the fall, Avelo will introduce five new routes from Concord, N.C. These routes will connect travelers to Hartford, Albany, Manchester, Rochester, and Wilmington, Del. Additionally, Avelo will establish a new route connecting Wilmington, N.C. to Fort Myers, Fla., further expanding its network of domestic routes. These strategic additions highlight Avelo’s commitment to growth and providing travelers with affordable and reliable air travel options.

Avelo’s expansion into international service and the introduction of new domestic routes signify the carrier’s dedication to enhancing its service offerings and meeting the evolving needs of travelers. With a focus on providing affordable fares and convenient travel options, Avelo is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory and establish itself as a prominent player in the airline industry.
