Hornblower Group Welcomes Mike Flaskey as CEO

Following the recent completion of the ferry service and day-tour company’s bankruptcy proceedings, Hornblower Group has announced Mike Flaskey as its new CEO. Flaskey, who was previously the CEO of Diamond Resorts, brings a wealth of experience in the hotel industry to his new role.

Flaskey’s background includes leadership positions at Wyndham Vacation Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, as well as advisory roles at McKinsey Travel, Leisure & Infrastructure and Capital Vacations. According to Jonathan Waggoner, co-head of the North America operating team at Strategic Value Partners, Flaskey’s appointment is a strategic move for the company, citing his clear vision for the future and experience in leading growth and innovation.

Flaskey expressed his excitement about joining Hornblower Group, noting the company’s focus on experience-based initiatives. With over 20 million in-person guests annually across its various business units, Flaskey sees unlimited potential for growth and flexibility within the company.

In acknowledging the departure of Kevin Rabbitt, Hornblower thanked him for his strategic vision and commitment to excellence during his time as CEO. Rabbitt played a key role in achieving important milestones and preparing the company for the future. Despite his departure, Hornblower Group continues to manage City Experiences, City Cruises, City Ferry, and other marine services and consulting projects.

With the appointment of Mike Flaskey as CEO, Hornblower Group looks to build on its past successes and drive further growth and innovation in the hospitality industry. Flaskey’s leadership, experience, and vision position him well to lead the company into its next phase of development and success.
