Revamping of Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas Delayed to 2025

Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas, which was originally scheduled for a renovation in 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic, is set to undergo a $100 million refurbishment in 2025. The cruise line has big plans for the Oasis-class ship, with new features and experiences being introduced to enhance the guest experience. The rejuvenated Allure will make its comeback in April and will offer seven-night western Mediterranean cruises departing from Barcelona.

Among the exciting additions to the Allure of the Seas is the introduction of the Pesky Parrot tiki bar, which first made its debut on Royal’s latest Oasis-class ship, the Utopia of the Seas. This unique bar comes equipped with virtual windows that display beach views and an animatronic parrot, adding a fun and tropical vibe to the onboard experience. Additionally, the ship will welcome the Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar, currently featured on both the Wonder of the Seas and the Utopia.

After the refurbishment, the Allure of the Seas will reveal a revamped pool deck with resort-style pools, a wide selection of seating options, and an array of casitas, in-pool loungers, and daybeds for guests to enjoy. The ship will also now boast the Perfect Storm waterslides, including the Cyclone and Typhoon racing slides, along with the SuperCell bowl slide. Furthermore, the Ultimate Abyss dry slide will be a thrilling addition to the onboard entertainment options.

The Solarium on the Allure will be enhanced with new elements, such as the Samba Grill, providing guests with more dining choices and relaxation spots. The Social298 teen space will offer a variety of entertainment options, including video games, music, movies, and comfortable lounging areas. Moreover, the ship will unveil the new Ultimate Panoramic Suites located above the ship’s bridge, offering stunning 200-degree ocean views to guests who opt for a more luxurious accommodation experience.

The delay in the refurbishment of the Allure of the Seas has allowed Royal Caribbean to plan and implement exciting new features and enhancements to the ship. With the promise of a revitalized onboard experience, guests can look forward to an unforgettable cruise experience once the Allure sets sail again in 2025.
