After years of being synonymous with tropical landscapes and festive atmospheres, Flamingo Las Vegas is ready to redefine its Go Pool area this spring. The iconic establishment is moving away from its previous tropical-themed aesthetics characterized by lagoons and waterfalls. Instead, the renovated space seeks to embrace a contemporary beach resort atmosphere that blends midcentury modern elements with retro-deco charm. According to Dan Walsh, the senior vice president and general manager of Flamingo Las Vegas, the project’s vision is deeper than mere renovations. The reimagined Go Pool complex is termed a “complete rebuild,” representing a substantial investment of $20 million into a fresh outlook for guests.
At the heart of this ambitious project lies a thoughtfully designed multifunctional pool complex tailored exclusively for guests aged 21 and older. This new area will feature an impressive array of five temperature-controlled pools that span multiple levels, ensuring a plethora of choices for relaxation and socializing. One of the standout attractions will be a 30-seat swim-up bar that promises to elevate the experience by allowing guests to enjoy refreshing drinks without ever leaving the water.
Moreover, the design includes 33 VIP cabanas equipped with plush in-water couches and daybeds, offering a luxurious oasis for those seeking a more private retreat. Enhancing the vibe, the new Go Pool will also feature cool-deck surfacing complemented by sophisticated night lighting, along with a top-tier sound system that is set to host local DJs and various entertainment acts throughout the pool season.
Further enhancing the Go Pool’s natural ambience, the area will showcase a series of 55 palm trees, along with 35 other tree varieties that have been carefully transplanted from the previous pool. A visually striking 50-foot-wide rain curtain waterfall will cascade into the central pool, invoking a sense of tranquility amidst the vibrant social scene.
Food and beverages are also a focus of the redesign, with a reimagined menu featuring a selection of shareable cocktails and delightful poolside snacks. Notable offerings will include frozen daiquiris and mojitos, perfectly suited for warm days by the water. This modern dining approach within the tropical setting aims to create memorable social experiences for guests.
The revamped Go Pool will be accessible daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., welcoming both hotel guests and non-hotel visitors aged 21 and above. Admission will be complimentary on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing a diverse crowd to immerse themselves in this fashionable new venue.
The Go Pool project is a part of a more extensive transformation initiative at the Flamingo, which will also introduce several new dining experiences, including trendy spots like Pinky’s by Vanderpump and Gordon Ramsay Burger. The addition of a family-friendly pool adjacent to the adult-only pool ensures that the Flamingo remains an inclusive destination for all ages.
