Revitalizing the Scarlet Lady: A New Chapter for Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages is set to elevate its flagship vessel, the Scarlet Lady, with an ambitious refurbishment during a scheduled drydock from November 13 to 28, 2023. This enhancement marks a major milestone since the ship’s launch in 2021, reflecting the cruise line’s commitment to continuous improvement and guest satisfaction. The planned changes are comprehensive, encompassing the addition of luxurious suites, vibrant dining options, and revamped nightlife experiences.

One of the most significant transformations involves the conversion of several Sea Terrace cabins on Deck 11 into 24 “Seriously Suite” RockStar Quarters. These opulent accommodations span 352 square feet and feature a range of high-end amenities, including European king beds, unique peekaboo showers, and curated in-room entertainment with records and vinyl. Guests can also enjoy their own stocked bar and relax in a Yellow Leaf hammock, making these suites ideal for affluent travelers looking for an unparalleled onboard experience.

The Scarlet Lady will also introduce exciting new culinary options. The popular Razzle Dazzle eatery will evolve its cuisine by launching the Lucky Lotus concept in the evenings, featuring a Chinese-inspired menu paired with an enticing selection of craft cocktails. This shift not only diversifies the dining experience but also addresses the growing demand for varied and upscale food offerings on board. Additionally, the venue will incorporate booths, replacing the communal table to provide a more intimate dining atmosphere, enhancing the overall guest experience.

The upgrade isn’t limited to suites and dining; it will also enrich leisure and entertainment options. The ship will present six VIP cabanas at the Aquatic Club, offering private spaces with daybeds ideal for relaxation and socializing, accommodating both small parties and larger gatherings through connectable cabanas. Furthermore, the Ground Club Too coffee bar will evolve into a full-service bar by night, creating a cozy lounge that caters to a more sophisticated nightlife vibe.

Enhancements will extend to gaming and wellness as well, with the casino expanding to include more slot machines and gaming areas, promising more excitement for gaming enthusiasts. The onboard spa is also set to enhance its offerings by introducing a dedicated couples treatment room, perfect for guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.

After the drydock transformation, the Scarlet Lady is poised for an adventurous 16-night transatlantic voyage from Rome to Miami, marking a significant journey before embarking on Caribbean itineraries. The ship will lead six-night itineraries in the Western Caribbean and eight-night voyages in the Eastern Caribbean, visiting picturesque ports like St. Croix, Costa Maya, Roatan, San Juan, and the line’s exclusive beach club in Bimini.

These renovations signify Virgin Voyages’ dedication to providing luxurious, innovative experiences for its guests. With the Scarlet Lady’s upgraded features and amenities, the cruise line aims to redefine sea travel and offer unforgettable experiences to its passengers, ensuring each journey remains not just a cruise but a unique escape.
