The Rise of Seven24 Collective: A New Era of Social Clubs

In 2004, the Gansevoort Hotel opened its doors in the Meatpacking District of New York City, five years before The High Line. This luxurious five-star hotel was a pioneering player in the area’s revival, setting the stage for the transformation of the once gritty neighborhood into a vibrant hub. The former warehouses and abandoned buildings became home to luxury apartments, restaurants, bars, art galleries, and fashion design houses, attracting residents and visitors from around the globe.

Fast forward twenty years, the owners of Gansevoort Hotel have embarked on a new ambitious venture: Seven24 Collective. This private membership club, located within the Gansevoort property, offers an array of amenities including a member-only cafe, co-working space, gym, rooftop terrace, cocktail bar, and access to the hotel’s rooftop pool. Lead designer Victor Alfaro has crafted a space that aims to engage members visually and experientially, ensuring they have no reason to leave. Additionally, Chef Sebastien Chaoui oversees the culinary program across all areas of the club.

The onset of the pandemic has intensified feelings of loneliness and isolation across the country. Remote work has distanced individuals from their colleagues, relying solely on virtual communication. The Surgeon General has highlighted the importance of combating this epidemic of loneliness. Seven24 Collective seeks to bridge this gap by creating a space where like-minded individuals can connect, socialize, and cultivate new friendships, interests, and skills. The club offers a sense of community and belonging that is crucial in these times.

Founders Michael Achenbaum and Sean Largotta bring their two decades of experience in the hospitality industry to shape Seven24 Collective into a one-of-a-kind social club. Unlike traditional clubs that cater to a specific profession or interest, Seven24 aims to bring together individuals from various backgrounds to foster idea exchange and networking. The club boasts a range of activities focusing on health, fitness, and wellness, appealing to a diverse membership base. With no formal dress code and a plethora of events, Seven24 stands out as a modern and inclusive social club.

Membership at Seven24 Collective is offered across five different tiers, catering to different age groups and family compositions. With an anticipated limit of 3000 members, the club is currently enrolling new members at annual rates starting at $2,150, with initiation fees from $350. The club also offers spousal memberships and is pet and child-friendly, catering to a wide range of individuals and families. Additionally, Achenbaum and Largotta have purchased a property in Ulster County to create a wellness center, expanding the offerings for Seven24 members with a countryside retreat experience.

Seven24 Collective represents a new era of social clubs, where inclusivity, diversity, and community are at the forefront. By providing a space for individuals to connect, collaborate, and engage, the club is setting a new standard for modern social experiences. With its innovative approach to membership, activities, and amenities, Seven24 is poised to redefine the traditional social club model and create a dynamic and welcoming community for its members.
