Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Expands All-Inclusive Portfolio Through Partnership

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has taken a significant step in expanding its presence in the all-inclusive resort market through a new partnership with Decameron Hotels & Resorts, a Colombia-based hospitality company. This strategic alliance has enabled Wyndham to integrate nine midscale resorts into its all-inclusive portfolio, with four of them now falling under the Ramada brand. Notably, this marks Ramada’s foray into the realm of all-inclusive accommodations.

The partnership with Decameron has brought a diverse range of properties under the Wyndham umbrella, with locations spanning from Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit to Jamaica. Among the newly added resorts are the Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos, Decameron La Marina Guayabitos, Decameron Isla Coral Guayabitos, and Decameron Club Caribbean in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. Additionally, the five former Royal Decameron properties now operate as Grand Decameron resorts under Wyndham’s Trademark Collection.

According to Jimena Faena, Wyndham’s vice president of marketing and brand operations for Latin America, the rates for these all-inclusive properties are competitive, starting at approximately $150 per night for Ramada resorts and $250 per night for Grand Decameron/Trademark Collection resorts. Faena emphasized that Wyndham aims to make the all-inclusive experience accessible to a wider audience, catering to not just luxury travelers but also those seeking more affordable vacation options.

The collaboration with Decameron signifies a pivotal moment for both Wyndham and Decameron in terms of global brand expansion. As Faena pointed out, this partnership serves as a foundational step towards enhancing the presence and reach of both brands on a global scale. By broadening their offerings in the all-inclusive segment, Wyndham and Decameron are poised to capture a broader market share and attract a more diverse clientele.

With the integration of the Decameron resorts, Wyndham’s all-inclusive portfolio now comprises a total of 60 properties, reflecting the company’s commitment to growth and diversification. This development builds on the successful introduction of the Wyndham Alltra brand in 2021 and the establishment of a partnership with Spain’s Palladium Hotel Group in 2022. Furthermore, the recent opening of the Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle Resort & Spa in Bridgetown demonstrates Wyndham’s continued expansion in the all-inclusive market.

The partnership between Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Decameron Hotels & Resorts represents a strategic alignment that leverages the strengths of both companies to enhance their all-inclusive offerings. This collaboration not only expands Wyndham’s global footprint but also enriches the travel experiences available to guests, making all-inclusive vacations more accessible and inclusive. As the hospitality industry continues to evolve, partnerships like this play a vital role in driving innovation and creating unique opportunities for travelers worldwide.
